-Joannie Rochette is a professional ice-skater for the canadian team for the olympics.



2. Why are the media giving her so much attention this week?



-The media is giving her so much attention because Joannie's mother was goin to watch her compete and she got off the airplane and had a stroke, she died the day before Joannie competed.

-i think Joannies Rochette's story is prety is awsome, and she is really extraordinary.

5. Explain whether hearing about how she managed to give her best effort so soon after her personal tragedy inspires you. Why or why not?

-it impresses me alot because its so tragic that happend right before she competed and did her best.
